Super Llama: Llamas are awesome! (17)
Despite not being very active on dA over the years, I am still doing the best I can.  I've been working on more physical stuff lately, mainly cosplay props etc, and my latest project sees me making a Gundam Cosplay for London Expo 2010.  In fact, I'm attempting to make 2 Gundam Cosplays for next year, plus I will continuing to make Mecha Cosplays for the following years as well. I am more likely to be updating my cosplayisland account with progress photos, then submitting final photos on here. If anyone is attending the London MCM Expo in May 2010, and would like to join in with the Gundam festivities, we have a group meet on the Saturday o

The Return?

0 min read
Firstly, Happy 2009 to everyone. wOw, it's been too long since I last set foot in here and I'll be attempting to get back into the art scene. I found my original files for my WIP - Nothing to Hide (Currently in my scraps) so I think it's only fair to say that I'll be finishing that off for my next deviation submission. I have a few more things lined up to help me get some inspiration back, so I might be submitting some more scraps soon. Hopefully there are those who still remember me, but if not, say hello anyway ^__^ Take care all, and catch up with you soon.

Home It's been almost a year since I made my last journal, and it's been too long since I've been around.  I recently celebrated my 30th birthday, and my wife bought me a miniature Ai Ball Jointed Doll (BJD).  Now, I'd been toying around with the idea of making my own BJDs and For the past year, I already had most of the materials needed, but I think this gift has given me some inspiration to get back into art. I'm also working one something that I originally started about 15 years ago, but never had the time and dedication to see it through.  Of course it's not going to be the same piece, just the method. Anyway, I will endeavour to keep

YAY i finally found another Gundam cosplayer in the UK
hey i love the outfit, how did you make it? i want to make my own ^^'

i know j-po (other wise known as crazy dagger from the expo?)
Hey there ^__^
I used Foamboard for most of the construction. The first version was put together with a 20w hot glue gun, but after wearing it in May, all the repairs were done with a 500w hot glue gun. MUCH more stable.
I used the front/side/back profile from the gunpla instruction sheet as a reference to scale up, then just tried to build from there.

Heh, yeah, j-po was in front of me in the masquerade queue in May. such an awesome Dagger costume ^__^
awesome thank you and yeah its awesome lol
I WILL GIVE LLAMA FOR LLAMA WITH ANY ONE ANY TIME AND I TRY MY BEST TO BE SUPER FAST AFTER ALL I'M A HIGH TECH NINJA!!!!
Helllooo! Thankyou for the watch hun! <3
